Akron Group Plans Large-Scale Investments
Akron Group has planned large-scale investments in production capacity for Urea, Ammonia and other products. The planned investment volume is around $650 million.
Construction of the “Urea-6” unit alone is expected to require an investment of $26 million. This will boost production by an additional 210 thousand tonnes. This year also sees planned capacity expansion for the existing “Urea-5” unit, backed by an investment of $4 million.
The construction of a urea granulation line is expected to require an investment of $35 million.
Production capacity expansion is also planned for ammonia: at “Ammonia 4”, an investment of $22 million is planned to increase capacity by 70 thousand tonnes. And $75 million is planned for the “Ammonia 3” unit.
Other products:
Akron plans to invest around $100 million over several years in building three production units for Nitric Acid and increasing production of Ammonium Nitrate and NPK.
The company also plans to invest $395 million in its production divisions in the Smolensk region. $75 million is planned for boosting ammonia production capacity. And $320 million is planned for building new production lines for NPK fertiliser, diammonium phosphate (DAP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP).
