Boiler Reagents

To avoid corrosion damage and scale deposits on heat exchange surfaces, it is necessary to select proven boiler reagents. A correctly chosen reagent for boiler washing and subsequent cleaning reduces fuel consumption, extends the interval between repairs and keeps the heat transfer coefficient at the design level. We ship compositions with confirmed characteristics, suitable both for daily corrective treatment and periodic chemical cleaning.

Application principle

Reagent treatment of boilers is divided into two key operations: daily dosing and periodic chemical cleaning.

  • Daily water treatment. Sodium sulfite, trisodium phosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate, caustic soda, soda ash, lignosulfonate and borax are continuously introduced into feed and boiler water. This combination binds dissolved oxygen, precipitates hardness salts into mobile sludge and keeps the pH at a level that prevents scale formation.
  • Descaling and deposit removal. When non-removable solid crusts accumulate through blowdown, scheduled cleaning is started. Sulfamic acid is used for carbonate deposits, Trilon B and citric acid for iron oxide and mixed deposits. After the acid stage, orthophosphoric acid is often introduced, which passivates the metal surface and creates a protective film while the boiler reaches operating mode.
  • Preservation and protection of the condensate path. Aqueous ammonia is fed into steam lines to neutralise carbonic acid and prevent corrosion of condensate pipelines. A correctly built chemical scheme rules out sudden pipe failures and extends the service life of the entire heat-power unit.

Advantages of our products

  • Certified batches. Each boiler reagent is accompanied by a report with actual values for the mass fraction of the main substance, moisture and impurities. You get exactly the concentration you set on the dosing equipment.
  • Direct supplies from manufacturers. We do not use intermediaries, so the risks of dilution, mix-ups and improper storage at intermediate warehouses are excluded.
  • Preservation of physical form. Powder compositions do not cake, liquid concentrates do not crystallise — our packaging and warehouse regime guarantee readiness for immediate dissolution and dosing.
  • Warehouse programme in Moscow. Basic grades are kept in constant stock, prompt shipment is possible on the day of request.

To clarify the current price and arrange shipment, contact the sales department. We will select the optimal set of chemicals for your specific boiler type.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Boiler Cleaning Reagents

Which reagents are used for boiler flushing?

Boiler flushing uses acids, alkaline components, chelating agents, corrosion inhibitors and auxiliary substances that help remove scale, salt deposits, rust and process contamination. The formulation is selected according to the type of deposits and the equipment material.

How do you choose a reagent for cleaning boiler equipment?

First, the composition of the deposits, the heat-exchange surface material, temperature, available flushing regime and safety requirements are determined. When purchasing, reagent concentration, metal compatibility, availability of documentation, packaging and the ability to supply the required volume are all important.

Why can’t the same reagent be used for all boilers?

Different systems have different deposits, materials and operating regimes. An unsuitable reagent may fail to remove scale effectively or create a corrosion risk, so industrial flushing needs to take into account deposit analysis, process engineer recommendations and equipment manufacturer requirements.

What documents are needed for reagents used in boiler house maintenance?

Typically a quality certificate, specification, safety documentation and batch information are required. For contractors and industrial facilities, storage recommendations, equipment compatibility and the ability to confirm the composition during incoming inspection are also important.
